Installing the vibration damper

• Coat sealing surface on the vibration damper (1) with clean engine oil.
• Position vibration damper (1).
• Replace the bolts (arrows).

  Parts:  screw

• Tighten the bolts (arrows) on the vibration damper (1).

  TIGHTEN TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Vibration damper with belt pulley to crankshaft
  M10 Replace screws.	Joining torque	40 Nm
  	Angle of rotation	120°

• Clip the cover (1) in at the vibration damper.

• Loosen screw (2).
• Slide the counter support with the screw (2) down against the arrow direction until the teeth (3) are no longer engaged in the gearing of the flywheel (4).
• Unscrew the screw (1) and remove the special tool 0 496 595 (11 6 130)  .

Follow-up work 

• Install STARTER MOTOR .
• Install the alternator DRIVE BELT .
• Install the engine front ACOUSTIC COVER .
• Install charge AIR LINE .
• Install clean AIR PIPE .
• Install RESONATOR .
• Reconnect all battery GROUND LEADS
• Install ACOUSTIC COVER .
• Install rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
• Install the center UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
• Check engine OIL LEVEL .
