Check compression of all cylinders
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING SUSPENSION CROSS-BRACE .
- Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER .
- Refer to IF INSTALLED: PARTIALLY REMOVING THE ENGINE VENTILATION LINE .
- Refer to REMOVING IGNITION COILS .
- Refer to REMOVING ALL SPARK PLUGS .
- Loosen nut (1).
- Thread out the wiring harness section (2) for the injectors and ignition coils and set it aside.NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to wires when disconnecting connectors and plug connections .
Sheared wires can cause a short circuit .- Do not pull on wires when disconnecting connectors and plug connections.
- Unlock lock (1) in direction of arrow from the top.
- Press lock (1) together and release.
- Disconnect the connector (2) from the injectors in the direction of the arrow.
- Unlock and release all connectors (1) of the injectors.
- Unscrew sensor (1) from special tool 0 490 615 (11 0 222) .
- Check the underlying valve for a correct fit.
- Prepare the special tool 0 490 615 (11 0 222) in conjunction with special tools 0 496 306 (11 8 732) and 0 496 107 (11 8 730) .
- Screw the special tool 0 490 615 (11 0 222)
with 10 Nm onto the special tool 0 496 107 (11 8 730)
.
- Connect special tool 2 410 242 to special tool 0 490 613 (11 0 220)
with the bayonet fitting
.
Screw the 100-bar sensor 1 onto the special tool 2 410 242 hand-tight .
Connect the 100 bar sensor (1) with the Integrated Measurement Interface Box-
- Screw the special tool 0 490 615 (11 0 222) into the spark plug thread (1) by hand.
- Connect special tool 0 490 617 (11 0 224) .
- Observe diagnosis instructions.
