Preliminary work
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER PANEL OF THE SLAVE DME CONTROL DEVICE .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE LEFT .
- Refer to RELEASING LEFT FRONT-END STRUT .
- Refer to REMOVING LEFT INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
- Refer to REMOVING HOLDER OF DME CONTROL UNIT FOR CYLINDERS 5 TO 8 .
- Refer to REMOVING COOLANT EXPANSION TANK .
- Refer to REMOVING THE WIRING HARNESS FROM THE CYLINDER BANK 2 .
- Refer to REMOVING IGNITION COIL OF CYLINDER BANK 2 .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING PLUG CONNECTIONS OF THE INJECTORS OF CYLINDER BANK 2 .
- Refer to PARTIALLY DISENGAGE THE FUEL SUPPLY LINE .
- Release the bolt (1) by one rotation.
- Press the coolant line (2) to the side.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Unclip the line (1) and set it aside.
- Loosen screws (1).

- When working on the fuel system, make sure the workstation has sufficient ventilation, e.g., by means of extraction.
- Tightly seal off open lines and connections; collect any leakage fuel directly at the point of exit.
- No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.

- Unlock and disconnect the fuel line.
- Loosen union nut (1).
- Place the fuel supply line (1) to one side.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Remove the exhaust camshaft sensor of cylinder bank 2 (2).
