Installing the wheel bearing
- Clean the contact surfaces (2) of the wheel bearing (1) and swivel bearing.
The contact surfaces must be clean and free from grease.
- Position the wheel bearing (1) on the wheel carrier.
- Replace the spherical-collar screws (1).
Parts: Spherical-collar screw
- Tighten the spherical-collar screws (1) with the special tool 2 472 903
.TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Wheel bearing to wheel carrier M12
Replace spherical collar screws.
Tighten the spherical-collar screws in crosswise sequence .The tightening sequence must be followed strictly and carried out on all spherical-collar screws at the same time! Tightening torque 20 Nm Initial torque 140 Nm Unscrew all bolts . max. 45° Tightening torque 120 Nm Angle of rotation 90°
