Removing the glass roof

- Handle tools and components carefully.
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Refer to 3. REMOVING THE BRAKE LIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING BOTH BACKREST SIDE SECTIONS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT SEAT BELT FINISHER STRIP .
- Refer to REMOVING RIGHT C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM PANEL FOR THE STORAGE SHELF .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR WINDOW .
- Refer to REMOVING BOTH THE ROOF TRIM STRIPS .
- Run up the panorama roof cover (1)
to maximum without the panorama roof cover (1)
running back.
- Measure and note the height in all 4 corners between the glass sunroof (1)
and roof frames (2)

Wear safety goggles. - Disconnect adhesive bead (1)
around with oscillating knife (2)

Use special tool 5 A0B 3B6 .
NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Perform window removal using the "spider".

Use special tool 5 A08 569 .
- Disconnect grounding cable (2) .
- Remove the glass sunroof.
