Installing both solenoid valves on the right

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Cleanliness is imperative for the removal or installation of solenoid valves.
Possible malfunctions if valves are contaminated are as follows:

Rough engine running
Fault memory entry
Faulty emission values
Low engine power

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Do not clean solenoid valves with compressed air because this may damage the solenoid valves.

Check the strainer (arrow) for contamination.
Replace the O-rings (1) and (2) .
Parts: O-rings
Coat the O-rings with motor oil.
If applicable, fasten the holder of the right pressure converter.

Removing the strainer

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
If a strainer is clogged with dirt, it must be removed.

NOTE: The description is provided only at one component. The procedure is the same for all other components.

Release the strainer (1) at the contact edges (arrows).

Bend up the spot-welds on the strainer (1) with a screwdriver (2) in arrow direction, until the spot welds open.
Remove and dispose of the strainer (1) .

Avoid damage to the solenoid valve housing such as notches or scratches (see arrows).

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Incorrect assembly is possible. Ensure correct installation position.

Carefully insert solenoid valves (2) and (5) up to the stop.
Tighten down screws (3) and (4) .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Holder of solenoid valve to cylinder head
M6	Tightening torque	10 Nm

Attach and lock connectors (1) and (6) .
