Installing the intake plenum

Replace all gaskets at the intake manifolds 

• Replace all the profile seals (1) at the intake manifolds (cylinder bank 1 and 2).

• Insert and install intake plenum (2).
• Connect and position the engine ventilation line (2) on the intake air plenum and lock.

  The lock (1) must audibly engage.

• Fasten all screws (1) through the openings (arrows)  with the special tool 0 496 646 (11 4 410)  .
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Intake system to vacuum lines M6 T30
  M6x25	Tightening torque	10 Nm

• Mount tank vent valve (3) to the holder.
• Connect the connector (1), it should lock audibly.
• Connect and audibly lock the tank vent line (2) on the tank vent valve (3).

• Mount tank vent valve (3) to the holder.
• Pin up connector (2) and lock audibly.
• Connect and audibly lock the tank vent line (1) to the tank vent valve.

• Position the vacuum line at the intake air plenum.
• Fasten the screw (1) on the vacuum line holder.
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Standard screw connection M6
  M6	Tightening torque	8 Nm

• Position the fuel line at the intake plenum.
• Fasten the screw (1) on the fuel line holder.
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Standard screw connection M6
  M6	Tightening torque	8 Nm

• Attach and secure the cable clips (1) on the intake air plenum.

• Connect the connector (1) to the boost pressure sensor of cylinder bank 2.
• Connect the connector (2) to the boost pressure sensor of cylinder bank 1.
