Removing The Trunk Lid
Preliminary work

- Refer to REMOVE VIBRATION ABSORBER ON THE TRUNK LID .
- Refer to REMOVE THE TAILGATE BUTTON .

- Refer to REMOVING THE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .

- Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.
- Remove the buzzer (1) and unlock and disconnect the corresponding plug connection.
- Unlock plug connections (2) and disconnect.
- Release the wiring harness (3) at the attachment points (arrows).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Release rubber grommet (2).
- Unclip the wiring harness (3) at the attachment points (arrows) and feed it out from the tailgate.
- Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.
- Release the wiring harness (2) at the attachment points (arrows).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Release rubber grommet (2).
- Release the wiring harness (3) at the attachment points (arrows) and set it aside.NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Mechanical effects .
Paint damage .- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Remove screws (1) on both sides of vehicle.
- Remove trunk lid.
