When replacing the left-hand backrest frame: Remount components

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING REAR SEAT BENCH .
• Refer to REMOVING LEFT AND RIGHT BACKREST SIDE SECTION .
• Refer to REMOVING THE RIGHT REAR SEAT BACKREST .
• Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
• Refer to REMOVING THE CENTER REAR SEAT BACKREST .
• Refer to REMOVING REAR SEAT BACKREST, LEFT .
• Refer to REMOVING THE BACKREST COVERING WITH THE CUSHION FOR THE REAR SEAT .

Remove the rear panel on the left rear seat backrest 

Remove the rear panel from the rear seat backrest 

• Unclip the welt of the backrest cover with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) along the broken line (1).
• Remove the rear panel (2).

Removing the head restraint on the rear seat backrest 

• Unclip the head restraint (1) in the marked area (2).
• Remove the head restraint (1) upward from the backrest frame (3).

Install the head restraint on the rear seat backrest 

• Correctly position the head restraint (1) from above on the backrest frame (3).
• Clip in the head restraint (1) in the marked area (2).

Install the rear panel on the left rear seat backrest 

Install the rear panel on the rear seat backrest 

• Position the rear panel (1).
• Clip the welt of the backrest cover in with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) along the broken line (2).
