Remove the transfer box (ATC 13-1)
Preliminary work
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Refer to REMOVING THE UNDERBODY PLANKING OF THE TRANSMISSION ON THE SIDE .
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR DIFFUSER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM FROM THE REAR BUMPER PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING BOTH EXHAUST TAILPIPE TRIMS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE CONNECTING SUPPORT FROM THE TUNNEL .
- Refer to REMOVING EXHAUST SYSTEM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE HEAT SHIELDS .
- Refer to REMOVING TRANSMISSION CROSS-MEMBER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE RETAINING PLATES .
- Refer to PARTIALLY LOOSENING THE PROP SHAFT .
- Unscrew the bolt (1)
and disconnect the ground strap (2)

- Disconnect connector (1)
from transfer box control unit (longitudinal torque distribution) (2)
.
- Unscrew the screw connection (arrows) of the transfer box.
- Tie the front prop shaft to the underbody.
It is imperative to prevent damage to the surface coating!
- Carefully pull the transfer box off.
