Installing the timing case cover at the top for cylinders 1 to 6

- Do not use any metal-cutting tools.
- Clean the sealing surfaces (1)
on the timing case cover with the special tool 0 495 102 (11 4 470)
.
- Replace the seal (2)
.
Parts: Seal
- Check the fitting sleeves (1) for secure fit and damage.
- Clean the sealing surfaces (2) on the cylinder head with the special tool 0 495 102 (11 4 470) .
- Position new seal on the fitting sleeves.
- Position the timing case cover at the cylinder head.
- Fit the timing case cover onto the fitting sleeves on the cylinder head.
- Tighten all screws (1)
and (2)
.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
End cover (oil) to crankcase M6x30 Tightening torque 10 Nm - Position the cable distributor.
- Tighten nut (7)
.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
cable distributor to cylinder head Nut Tightening torque 5 Nm - Tighten down screw (6)
.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
cable distributor to cylinder head M6x16 Tightening torque 10 Nm - Attach and lock the connector (1) .
- Attach and lock the connector (2) .
- Attach and lock the connector (3) .
- Attach and lock the connector (4) .
- Attach and lock the connector (5) .
