Connecting all battery ground leads

Connect the battery earth lead for the active steering 

• Position the battery negative lead on the negative pole and tighten with the screw (2).

• Close the protective cap (1).

• Vehicles from version 07/2016:  If necessary, position the cover (2) and clip in the clips (1).

  The cover is an optional installation.

• Push the auxiliary battery (2) to the left with the associated foam inlay.
• Insert the foam inlay (1) of the separator from the top down.

• Insert the separator (3).
• Position the retainer (2).
• Tighten the screws (1).

• Tighten nut (1).

Installing the storage tray 

• Insert the storage tray (2).
• Secure expanding rivet (1).

Install the rear luggage compartment floor covering 

• Clip the luggage compartment floor covering (1) into the clamps (2) from the top in the direction of the arrow.

• Open the luggage compartment floor covering.
• Press the lever (1) on the left and right inward in the direction of the arrow and attach to the corresponding guide.

Connecting the negative battery cable (12 V battery) 

• Position the negative battery terminal (2) on the negative battery terminal.
• Tighten the nut (1) on the negative battery terminal.

Install right luggage compartment trim panel 

• Install the luggage compartment trim panel (1) from the top.

Activate high-voltage system 

• Remove the shackle lock (1) from the exposed bore (2) on the high-voltage safety plug (3).

• Insert the screwdriver into the opening (1) and simultaneously press the lock (2) downwards in the direction of the arrow.
• Push the connector (3) together.
