Replacing right engine support arm (S55 engine)

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Secure ENGINE IN INSTALLATION POSITION .
• Remove both catalytic converters. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACE CATALYTIC CONVERTER FOR CYLINDERS 1-3 (S55 ENGINE) and REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACE CATALYTIC CONVERTER FOR CYLINDERS 4-6 (S55 ENGINE) .

Removal: 

Release screws (1).

Raise engine slightly and remove engine support arm (2) with engine mount.

Mark engine support arm and engine mount in one plane.

Transfer identification to new component.

Slacken nut (1).

Installation: 

After marking, join aligned engine support arm and engine mount by nut (1).

Tighten nut (1).

Tightening torque 22 11 2AZ .

Install engine support arm with engine mount.

Insert screws (1) and tighten.

Lower engine.

Tightening torque 22 11 3AZ .

Required reworking: 

• Install both catalytic converters. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACE CATALYTIC CONVERTER FOR CYLINDERS 1-3 (S55 ENGINE) and REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACE CATALYTIC CONVERTER FOR CYLINDERS 4-6 (S55 ENGINE) .
