Replacing rubber mount for camber arm in rear axle support

Special tools required: 

• 33 4 462
• 33 4 463
• 33 4 464
• 33 4 465
• 33 4 466
• 33 4 455
• 33 4 456
• 33 4 452
• 33 4 451
• 2 361 896
• 2 361 891
• 33 4 450

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove COIL SPRING, REAR .

Removal: 

Left only: 

Slacken nut (1).

Release jointed rod (2) from camber control arm.

Slacken nut (1).

Pull out screw (2).

Swivel camber control arm (3) downwards and allow to hang on wheel carrier.

Remove rubber mount using special tools 33 4 462, 33 4 463, 33 4 464, 33 4 465 and 33 4 466.

Installation: 

Pull together rubber mount with special tools 33 4 455, 33 4 456, 33 4 452 and 33 4 451.

Draw rubber mount into rear axle support so that the slot (1) is vertical at the top.

Draw rubber mount into rear axle support as far as possible using special tools 2 361 896, 2 361 891, 33 4 466 and 33 4 465.

Remove special tool 33 4 450 and pull in rubber mount until limit position.

Swivel camber control arm (3) upwards and position on rear axle support.

Part  : Replace nut (2) and bolt (1).

Insert bolt (2).

• Pay attention to direction of insertion of the screw (2).

Screw on nut (1) and tighten in normal position.

Tightening torque 33 32 7AZ .

Left only: 

Insert jointed rod (2) at camber control arm.

Part  : Replace nut (1).

Tighten nut (1).

Tightening torque 37 14 4AZ .

Required follow-up work: 

• Install REAR COIL SPRING .
• Carry out wheel alignment procedure. Refer to CARRY OUT KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH VEHICLE LOAD UP TO DESIGN POSITION or KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT LOADING THE VEHICLE .
