Undo nut (4) and unscrew bolt (5).
Undo nut (7) and unscrew bolt (6).
Remove camber control arm (1):
Installation:
Position camber control arm (1).
Part : Replace bolts (5 and 6) and nuts (3, 4 and 7).
Insert bolt (6).
Screw on the nut (7).
- Do not tighten screw connection to torque yet.
Insert eccentric bolt (2).
Fit eccentric washer and tighten nut (3).
Tightening torque 33 32 8AZ .
Insert bolt (5).
Screw on the nut (4).
- Do not tighten screw connection to torque yet.
Installation note:
Note direction of insertion of bolts.
Tighten coil spring using special tools 33 5 016 and 33 5 020, gripping the spindle of the spring tensioner with special tool 33 5 017.
Tension the coil spring so that the normal position can be set by lifting the wheel carrier.
Secure special tool 2 358 630 with wheel studs to drive flange.
Insert the universal jack in the special tool 2 358 630.
Adjusting normal position:
Attention:
To raise the wheel carrier, the spring absolutely must be tensioned. Do not move the wheel carrier to normal position against the spring force.
Push wheel carrier up to dimension A with workshop jack and special tool 2 358 630.
Dimension A = middle of wheel hub to upper edge of wheel arch
Dimension A - F80 = 343 mm
Dimension A - F82, F83 = 363 mm
Tighten nut (7).
Tightening torque 33 32 7AZ .
Tighten nut (4).
Tightening torque 33 52 3AZ .
Lower the universal jack and put it away.
Remove special tool 2 358 630.
Check fitting of coil springs in spring pads (top and bottom), if necessary again align and relieve tension.
Remove the special tools 2 412 505, 2 412 506, and 33 5 013, 33 5 014, 33 5 015.
Left only:
Insert jointed rod (2) at camber control arm.
Part : Replace nut (1).
Tighten nut (1).
Tightening torque 37 14 4AZ .
Required follow-up work:
- Install REAR WHEEL .
- Carry out wheel alignment procedure. Refer to CARRY OUT KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH VEHICLE LOAD UP TO DESIGN POSITION or KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT LOADING THE VEHICLE .
