Removing and installing/replacing the intake silencer housing (S63 B44 T 2) (X6 M)

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Switch off ignition.
• Remove ACOUSTIC COVER .
• Remove INTAKE PORT .

Removal: 

Release clamps (1).

Unlock and pull off connector (2) from hot film air mass meter on left and right.

Pull off intake silencer housing (1) upwards from rubber mounts.

Installation: 

Connect the intake silencer housing (1) with the clean air pipes and secure to the rubber mounts.

Tighten clamps (1).

Tightening torque 13 71 2AZ .

Connect the connectors (2) to the hot film air mass meter on the left and right.

Connectors (2) must snap audibly into place.

Required follow-up work: 

• Install the ACOUSTIC COVER .
• Install INTAKE PORT .
