51 49 000 Removing and installing or replacing trim for rear lid

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Undo screws (1) in handle recess.

Ease back handle (2) for emergency release.

Release trim panels (3) at clips (4) and remove.

Installation note:

If necessary, replace faulty clips (1).

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Release TRIM PANEL FOR REAR WINDOW FRAME on left/right in lower area only, do not remove

Release screws (1).

Release trim panels (2) from clips (3).

Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.

Installation note:

If necessary, replace faulty clips (1 and 2).

If necessary, lift out clips remaining in body and pre-install on trim panel.
