Removing and installing/replacing 12-V power socket (X5 M)

Special tools required: 

• 61 0 250

Check the equipment dependent sockets that are available.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• REMOVING THE FRONT DRINK HOLDER .
• REMOVE USB AUDIO INTERFACE CONNECTING SOCKET .
• REMOVING REAR CENTER CONSOLE COVER .
• Open FLAP IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT PANEL ON RIGHT .

Cup holder, front 

Release latch mechanism (1) and thread out LED (2).

Use the special tool 61 0 250 to remove the power socket (1) from the center console trim.

Rear center console trim: 

Unlock connector (1) and thread out cable (2) for power socket.

Rear center console trim: 

Remove power socket (1) from the center console trim using special tool 61 0 250.

Luggage compartment: 

Open flap in luggage compartment trim panel on right.

Put your hand behind the right luggage compartment wheel arch panel.

Detach connector (1) from power socket (2).

Fold up the protective cap over power socket (1).

Remove power socket (1) using special tool 61 0 250.

Pull out 12-V power socket from housing with special tool 61 0 250 until connector is at bottom of light ring.
