Removing and installing/replacing complete center console (X5 M)

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 327
• 00 9 340.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove ALL SIDE CARPETS FROM THE STORAGE COMPARTMENT .
• Remove GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH .
• Remove the REAR CENTER CONSOLE TRIM .

Equipment specification with telephone: 

• Remove the BASE PLATE .

Remove cover (1) using special tool 00 9 327 from clamps (2).

Remove cover (1) at latch mechanisms (2) using special tool 00 9 340 from storage box (3).

Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.

Remove cable clip (1) and feed through wiring harness.

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Release screws (2) on left/right.

Unfasten cable clip (3).

Pull out center console towards rear and watch out for other plug connections.

Remove center console towards top rear.
