11 22 000 Removing and installing or replacing the flywheel (automatic M57T2-SCR)

Special tools required:

11 9 260
11 9 264
11 9 266

Necessary preliminary work:

Disconnect NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL .
Remove and install front assembly underbody protection. See 51 47 490 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT ASSEMBLY UNDERSIDE PROTECTION .
Remove and install AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION .

Block flywheel (1) with special tool 11 9 260 /11 9 266 /11 9 264 .

Unfasten flywheel bolts.

Installation note:

Tightening torque: 11 22 1AZ .

Flywheel (1) is secured with an dowel pin.

Fit new flywheel bolts.

Clean crankshaft thread for flywheel bolts.

Remove flywheel (1).

Assemble engine.
