51 46 011 Removing and installing (replacing) trim panel for storage shelf (version with through-loading system)

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove TRIM PANEL FOR ROOF PILLAR AT REAR  on left/right
• Remove BACKREST SIDE SECTION on left/right
• Reposition left/right rear seat backrest

Version with roller sunblind: 

Release screws (1) on luggage compartment floor (2).

Tightening torque: 51 46 3AZ .

Release screw (1) and expanding rivet (3).

Release door seal (5).

Detach cover (2) towards front with clamp (4) from body.

Installation note: 

Clamp (4) must not be damaged or bent, replace if necessary.

Version with roller sunblind: 

Release and disconnect plug connection (1) at right C-pillar.

Remove cover (1).

Pay attention to latches (2).

Remove cover (1) and feed out of seat belt (3).

Release expanding rivet (1).

Slightly raise storage shelf (2) at front and unlock and detach plug connections underneath for speaker. Refer to 65 13 188 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR MID-RANGE SPEAKER (IN STORAGE SHELF) and 65 13 195 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR TWEETER (IN STORAGE SHELF) .

Remove storage shelf (2) toward the inside and feed out seat belt (3).

Installation note: 

Make sure storage shelf is correctly seated in ventilation grille (1).

In the case of replacement with appropriate version: 

• Remount left/right speaker
• Remount ROLLER SUNBLIND
