52 15 198 Removing and installing or replacing rear panel on left or right front seat backrest
Special tools required:
- 64 1 020
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove front seat. Refer to 52 15 001 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SEAT, DRIVER'S SIDE or 52 15 002 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SEAT, PASSENGER'S SIDE .
Use of the universal seat mount is recommended for carrying out professional repairs.
Release expanding rivet (1).
Installation note:
Replace faulty expander rivets.
Completely lift out welt (1) for backrest cover with special tool 64 1 020.
IMPORTANT:
Backrest cover and rear panel must not be scratched or damaged!
Tilt backrest cover (1) slightly forwards.
Press rear panel (2) in marked areas and simultaneously remove upwards and to rear.
Installation note:
Guides (1) must not be damaged.
