52 15 002 Removing and installing front seat, passenger's side

Necessary preliminary work: 

CAUTION: The side airbag is integrated in the front seat.
Improper handling may trigger the side airbag and as a result cause injuries.

Observe safety information for HANDLING COMPONENTS OF AIRBAG SYSTEM .

Front seat, manual: 

Move backrest to full rearward position.

Grip end fitting cover in marked area between cushion and cover.

Unclip the end fitting trim in direction of arrow (1).

Feed out end fitting cover (2) in direction of arrow.

Front seat, electric: 

Move backrest to full rearward position.

Grip end fitting cover centrally between seat belt strap and cover.

Unclip end fitting trim in direction of arrow.

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque: 72 11 02AZ .

Remove end fitting.

Installation note: 

End fitting is coded against incorrect assembly.

Adjust front seat fully backwards and down.

Release screws (1).

Installation note: 

Replace screws.

Tightening torque: 52 10 1AZ .

Adjust front seat fully forwards and up.

Release screws (1).

Installation note: 

Replace screws.

Tightening torque: 52 10 1AZ .

Unlock and disconnect connector (1).

CAUTION: Cover entrances with protective covers (risk of damage!)

Carefully lift out front seat with the assistance of a second person.

WARNING: When carrying out further work on the front seat, it is absolutely imperative to observe the SAFETY INFORMATION ON HANDLING AIRBAG MODULES AND PYROTECHNICAL SEAT BELT TENSIONERS
Improper handling can lead to triggering of the pyrotechnical seat belt tensioner or side airbag, resulting in injuries.

Installation note:
