- Support the electrical machine electronics (1) with the universal lifter, special tool 2 411 683 and the plate mounting (2).
Plate mounting (part number for applicable BMW applicable BMW Workshop Equipment: 81 22 2 357 071) is an element of the mobile table lift.
- Raise the universal lifter with the electrical machine electronics (2) until the screw connection for the positive battery cable (1) is accessible.
- Tighten the nut (1) on the positive battery cable and attach the cover.

- Connect the positive battery cable.
- Carefully position the EME with the universal lifter on the body.
- Guide the holder for the EME into the bolt (2).
- Tighten down screw (3).

- Tighten nuts (4) and (2).

- Clip in the positive battery cable (1) into the holder for the EME.
- Clip in the holder for the coolant lines (1).
- Replace the holders for the coolant lines.

- Secure the coolant lines in the holders for the coolant lines (1).

- Straightly connect the high-voltage connector.
- Tighten the screws (2).

- Connect and lock the connector of the high-voltage cable (3).
- Secure the high-voltage cable (3) in the holder.
- Position the holder for the tension relief and tighten the bolts (2).

Mortal hazard if the potential equalization screw connection is not correct!
Mortal hazard if the potential equalization screw connection is not correct!
- Observe the safety requirements for the potential equalization screw connection.
- Clean contact faces and have then checked by a second person.
- Tighten the screws/nuts for potential equalization with torque; have a second person check the torque.
- Correct execution of these tasks must be documented in the vehicle records by both persons.
- Tighten the nut (1) of the potential compensation line on the body.

- Observe the safety requirements for the potential equalization screw connection.
- Clean contact faces and have then checked by a second person.
- Tighten the screws/nuts for potential equalization with torque; have a second person check the torque.
- Correct execution of these tasks must be documented in the vehicle records by both persons.
- Tighten the nut (4) of the battery earth lead on the body.

- Clip the signal line (3) in.
- Connect and lock the connector of the signal line (3).

- Connect and lock the connector of the high-voltage cable (2).
- Clip the high-voltage cable (2) into the holder.
- Close the mounting (1) of the high-voltage cable (2).
