11 53 086 Removing and installing/replacing coolant feed line for exhaust turbocharger (B48AO0)

Special tools required: 

• 17 2 050

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Drain COOLANT .
• Remove the CATALYTIC CONVERTER .
• Remove COOLANT RETURN LINE .

Removal: 

Unlock clamp (1) by means of special tool 17 2 050.

Pull off coolant line (2) of T-piece.

Release coolant line (1) from holder (2).

Release coolant line (1) at clamp.

Pull off coolant line (1) of exhaust turbocharger.

Installation: 

Parts:  Replace O-ring (1).

Install coolant line (1) and connect to exhaust turbocharger.

Unlock clamp (1) by means of special tool 17 2 050.

Connect coolant line (2) to T-piece.

Clip coolant line (1) into holder (2).

Clip in coolant line (1) into clamp.

Required follow-up work: 

• Install COOLANT RETURN LINE .
• Install the CATALYTIC CONVERTER .
• Top up COOLANT .
• Check cooling system for leaks.
