51 43 000 Removing and installing/replacing rear left or right side trim panel
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove REAR SEAT
- Remove REAR SEAT BACKREST (basic seat only)
- Remove BACKREST SIDE SECTION (through-loading system only)
- Remove SIDE TRIM PANEL UPPER SECTION, REAR
Removal:
Release screws (1).
IMPORTANT:
Risk of damage!
Lower section of side trim panel may separate from side trim panel upper section.
Lower section of side trim panel may separate from side trim panel upper section.
Release side trim panel (1) at clips (2) and clamps, above.
Feed out side trim panel (1) in the area of the covers (3 and 4) and remove.
Installation:
Replacement:
Remount ARMREST .
If necessary, remount module for interior movement detector . See 65 75 120 REMOVING & INSTALLING (REPLACING) MODULE FOR INTERIOR MOVEMENT DETECTOR ON REAR LEFT SIDE TRIM PANEL or 65 75 125 REMOVING & INSTALLING (REPLACING) MODULE FOR INTERIOR MOVEMENT DETECTOR ON REAR RIGHT SIDE TRIM PANEL .
NOTE:
Replace faulty clips (2) and clamps, above.
Feed in side trim panel (1) in the area of the covers (3 and 4).
Fit side trim panel (1) at clips (2) and clamps, above, and clip in.
Tighten down screws (1).
Required follow-up work:
- Install REAR SEAT BACKREST (basic seat only)
- Install BACKREST SIDE SECTION (in equipment specification folding rear seat backrest)
- Install REAR SEAT
- Install SIDE TRIM PANEL UPPER SECTION AT REAR
