51 47 162 Removing and installing/replacing right luggage compartment wheel arch panel

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Removal:

Version with lashing eye:

Lever out cover (1) and release screw underneath.

Remove lashing eye (2).

Version with oddments tray:

Unclip and remove cover (1) upwards with special tool 00 9 325 .

Pull out and detach fuel tank release (1).

Remove emergency release (2) and detach the cable.

Release clamps (3).

Feed out wheel arch panel (4).

Installation:

Replacement (depending on version):

Remount 12 V POWER SOCKET if necessary.

Unclip tensioning strap (1).

Detach luggage compartment net (2) at holder (3).

Release lock washer (4) and feed out luggage compartment net (2).

Unscrew holder (3).

Feed in wheel arch panel (4).

Connect fuel tank release (1).

Attach cable and install emergency release (2).

Mount clips (3).

NOTE: Replace faulty clips (2).

Version with oddments tray:

Install shelf (1).

Version with lashing eye:

Install lashing eye (2) and tighten down bolt.

Tightening torque: 51 47 1AZ .

Mount cover (1).

Required follow-up work:
