22 32 001 Replacing rubber mount for transmission mounting (ATC 350)

Special tools required:

• 22 1 041
• 22 1 042
• 22 1 043
• 22 1 044
• 22 1 046
• 33 4 460

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove complete exhaust system. Refer to:

  For N55: 18 00 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM (N55) .

  For N63: 18 00 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM (N63) .

  For N57 D30 O 1: 18 00 018 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM (N57 D30 O 1)

  For N20: 18 00 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM (N20) .

• Remove transmission cross member  . See 22 32 050 REPLACING CROSS-MEMBER FOR TRANSMISSION MOUNTING (N57) AWD , 22 32 050 REPLACING THE CROSS MEMBER FOR THE TRANSMISSION MOUNTING (N20, N55, N47) ALL-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE  or 22 32 050 REPLACING CROSS-MEMBER FOR TRANSMISSION MOUNTING (N63) AWD .

For better illustration: Front propeller shaft is removed.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Lower transmission with hydraulic lifting equipment.

Mount special tools 22 1 042/22 1 041 on transfer box.

Pull out rubber mount with thrust plate 22 1 043 by means of spindle 33 4 460 and nut 22 1 017 .

Installation note: 

Pay attention to installation position of rubber mount (1).

Bolt special tool 22 1 044 to transfer box.

Insert special tool 22 1 046 with bolt into recesses of rubber mount.

Draw in rubber mount with special tool 33 4 460.

Installation note: 

Auxiliary installation material - low-surface-tension water.

Do not  coat rubber mount with grease.
