51 16 366 Removing and installing right glove box with housing

When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove trim for instrument panel, bottom left  . See 51 45 195 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR LOWER RIGHT INSTRUMENT PANEL (ECE ONLY)  or 51 45 195 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BOTTOM RIGHT INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM (US VERSION ONLY) 
• F10/F11/F18 only: REMOVE DECORATIVE STRIP ON DASHBOARD ON RIGHT 

According to equipment version 

• Remove DVD CHANGER
• Remove USB INTERFACE CONNECTING SOCKET

  Glovebox housing can only be removed only if connecting socket is completely removed first.

F10/F11/F18 only without DVD changer: 

Release screws (1) and feed out cover (2).

F07 only: 

Release screws (1) on glove box (2).

Tightening torque 51 16 16AZ .

F10/F11/F18 only: 

Release screws (1) on glove box (2).

Tightening torque 51 16 16AZ .

Pull glove box (1) slightly forward and unlock and disconnect plug connection (2) from glove box light.

Pull out glovebox (1) further.

Unlock plug connection (2) from damper (3) and disconnect.

Pull out wiring harness clamp (4).

Feed out glovebox.

Installation note: 

Only if DVD changer installed 

Feed DVD changer wiring harness into glovebox housing.
