52 14 402 Replacing seat cover for driver's seat (newer version): Notes

Special tools required: 

• 52 0 050

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove INNER COVER  on front seat.
• Remove SUPPORT FOR OUTER COVER .
• Remove REAR PANEL  on front seat backrest.

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Feed wiring harness out of seat mechanism.

Lever out left and right clips (1).

Drill out rivet heads (1) left and right.

Detach seat cover tab from seat frame.

Installation note: 

Completely remove rivet residue.

Detach welt (1) from seat mechanism.

Release clamps in marked area.

Feed seat cover out of upholstery (1).

Release all clamps in marked area of trim wires.

Remove seat cover from upholstery.

Installation note: 

Bend new clamp (2) 52 0 050 closed with pliers.

4. Trim wire in upholstery
