17 11 100 Removing and installing/replacing coolant expansion tank (N55)

Necessary preliminary work

Follow INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPAIR WORK ON THE COOLING SYSTEM .
Only for vehicles with the Dynamic Drive:
Remove left TRAILING LINK .
Remove INTAKE PORT .
Release expansion tank and place to one side. See REMOVING/INSTALLING/REPLACING FLUID RESERVOIR . For vehicles with Dynamic Drive, see REMOVING/INSTALLING/REPLACING OIL RESERVOIR (VEHICLES WITH DYNAMIC DRIVE) .

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 17 10 3AZ .

Clamp off coolant hoses (2) with a suitable tool.

Release and disconnect coolant hoses (2).

Raise expansion tank (3)

Unlock connector (1) on coolant level switch and disconnect.

Remove expansion tank (2).

Assemble engine.

Top up COOLANT .

Check cooling system for LEAK TIGHTNESS .
