32 41 430 Replacing ARS expandable hose part 1, from vane pump to expandable hose (RWD with N55 engine)

Special tools required: 

• 32 1 270

Recycling 

Catch and dispose of hydraulic fluid in a suitable collecting vessel.

Necessary preliminary work 

• Remove front left CHARGE-AIR DUCT
• Lower FRONT AXLE SUPPORT

Unlock return line on cooling loop and disconnect.

Release screws (1) from flange.

Tightening torque 37 13 8AZ .

Release holder of pressure line (2) in front axle support (see arrow).

Tightening torque 32 41 12AZ .

Release holder (1) on front axle support on right.

Tightening torque 32 41 12AZ .

Release nuts (1) from rear line holder on engine.

Disconnect plug (1) from oil level sensor and place to one side.

Release holder (2) on front axle support and lay pressure line to one side.

Tightening torque 32 41 12AZ .

Disconnect plug (1) and release cable tie.

Release line holder (2) behind power steering pump.

Disconnect plug (1) and lay wiring harness to one side.

Release pressure line (2).

Tightening torque 32 41 6AZ .

Release pressure line (3).

Tightening torque 32 41 13AZ .

Remove suction line (4).

Release bolts (5) from line holder.

Tightening torque 32 41 18AZ .

Remove expansion hose towards rear.

Installation note: 

Replace sealing rings.

Replace hose clamp.

After installation 

• Fill and bleed HYDRAULIC SYSTEM 
• Check line connections for tightness
• Carry out INITIAL DYNAMIC DRIVE OPERATION
