51 49 120 Removing and installing/replacing cargo cover

Necessary preliminary tasks 

Loosen bolts (2) from cargo cover frame (1).

Installation: 

Left and right strikers (1) must not brush at top against lock cover (2).

Installation: 

To avoid damage, wrap tire iron (2) as pictured.

Tighten screw (3) loosely.

Carefully position cargo cover frame (1) with tire iron (2) in downward direction (max. iron travel = frame hole stop at screw).

Tighten screw (3).

Tightening torque 51 47 1AZ .

NOTE: Check freedom of movement of lock striker again.

Fold down cargo cover toward the front.

Loosen bolts (1) from cargo cover frame (2).

Tightening torque 51 47 1AZ .

Installation: 

Centre cargo cover (2).

Completely remove cargo cover with the aid of a 2nd person.
