52 13 025 Removing and installing/replacing left or right seat mechanism (Normal)

Remove BACKREST FRAME on front seat

Replacement only:

Remove seat cover for front seat. See SEAT COVER (NORMAL SEAT) or SEAT COVER (SPORT SEAT) .
Remove SEAT BELT TENSIONER
Remove control units. See CONTROL UNIT FOR SEAT ADJUSTMENT and CONTROL UNIT FOR SEAT HEATING .

Seat mechanism is supplied complete with corresponding drive units.

Unlock plug housing (3) and remove from holder.

Disengage wiring harnesses from flexmat.

Installation:

Make sure wiring harnesses are laid correctly.

Observe bending radius and do not lay wiring harnesses tensioned.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 52 10 05AZ .

Remove holder (2) for control unit.

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 52 10 03AZ .

Remove belt buckle deflector trim (2).

Sport seat only:

Release screws (1).

Remove connection for thigh support.
