61 11 200 Installing repair cable for reversing camera (TRSVC)

Read and comply with notes on HANDLING WIRING HARNESSES AND WIRING .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Release screws (1) on driver's and passenger sides and remove air duct (2).

Unlock the lock (1) in direction of arrow with suitable tool.

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!

Unlock the lock (3) carefully  with a suitable tool. Pull connector housing (4) of line (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

Pay attention to encoding (5)!

Tape off ground (1) on repair cable to prevent damage during routing.

Pull off connector (1) and tie back onto wiring harness (2).

Connect repair cable to camera and route and secure along wiring harness (2).

Unclip wiring harness (1) at the position marked in the image and release from the tailgate.

Route and secure repair cable along wiring harness (1).

Attach wiring harness (1) to tailgate.

Unclip rubber grommet (1) from vehicle body and tailgate.

Unclip cable duct (2) from tailgate.

Route repair cable with feed-in aid through cable duct (2) and rubber grommet (1).

Open abrasion protection (3) and pass repair cable through to passenger compartment.

Close abrasion protection (3).

Attach rubber grommet (1) and cable duct (2).

Route and secure repair cable along wiring harness (1).

Release ground point (2) and attach repair cable.

Route and secure repair cable (2) along wiring harness (1).

Lift carpet in area of rear entry strip.

Remove feeder (2).

Open cable channel (1) and route and secure repair cable on wiring harness.

Lift carpet in area of front entry strip.

Open cable channel (1 and 2) and route and secure repair cable on wiring harness.

Route and secure repair cable (1) on wiring harness (2) in footwell.

Feed through repair cable (1) under heating and air-conditioning unit (2) from passenger footwell into driver's footwell.

Lay repair cable in direction of arrow under heating and air-conditioning unit (1), foam material (2) and carpet (3).

Route repair cable in direction of arrow and secure.

Plug 1 Bumper camera, right
Plug 2 Exterior mirror camera, right
Plug 3 Reversing camera
Plug 4 Bumper camera, left
Plug 5 Exterior mirror camera, left

Pull off connector (3) on TRSVC control unit.

Tie back cable that has been pulled off to the wiring harness.

Attach repair cable at free slot.

NOTE: Lay any repair cable overlength under carpet and secure.
Once the camera has been successfully checked, cut off old cable connector.
