65 12 071 Removing and installing or replacing amplifier

NOTE: Comply with notes and notes on HANDLING OPTICAL FIBRES .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect BATTERY EARTH LEAD
Remove STORAGE TRAY FOR FIRST AID KIT

Slacken nut (1).

Unlock plug connections (2) and disconnect.

Slide amplifier (3) with holder in direction of arrow and feed out in upward direction.

Installation note:

Insert holder (1) correctly into guide (2).

Make sure amplifier (3) is correctly seated.

Replacement:

Release screw (1).

Pull amplifier (2) out of holder (3) in direction of arrow.

Installation note:

Lugs (1) must be correctly slid into guide (2).

Check that amplifier (3) is securely seated.

Replacement:

In Harman Kardon version, perform VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND ENCODING .
