51 47 480 Removing and installing/replacing left (right) capping trim panel

The operation is described for the left-hand side; proceed in the same way for the right-hand side.

Necessary preliminary work:

Remove the roller cover
Remove load area net
Fold rear seat backrest forward
Remove D-PILLAR TRIM PANEL
Remove BACKREST SIDE SECTION FROM REAR SEAT

Release expanding rivet (1) and screws (2).

Release screws (1).

Remove cover (2) and feed seat belt out of trim panel (3).

Raise trim panel (3) slightly and disconnect associated plug connections.

Feed out trim panel (1) on holder (2) for roller cover.

Remove trim (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation note:

Catch (1) and guides (2) of trim panel (3) must not be damaged or missing.
