Necessary preliminary work
- Remove side trim panel for roof pillar (C-pillar). See 51 43 251 Removing and installing or replacing trim panel for left or right rear roof pillar (C-pillar) .
- Trim panel for rear roof pillar (D-pillar). See 51 43... Removing and installing/replacing trim for rear roof pillar (D-pillar), left or right .
- Remove STRIP ON SIDE WINDOW .
IMPORTANT:
Risk of damage!
Tape off body in area of piercing point with fabric adhesive tape.
Moisten TPE spray-coating with water so that cutting wire can slide between body and side window and TPE spray-coating is not damaged.
Tape off body in area of piercing point with fabric adhesive tape.
Moisten TPE spray-coating with water so that cutting wire can slide between body and side window and TPE spray-coating is not damaged.
Push wire starter from Roll Out 2000 at line (1) through adhesive bead.
Feed in cutting wire, secure special tool 51 3 270 and cut through adhesive bead in direction of arrow.
Remove side window and replace.
