54 37... Gauge coupling lock (after removal and installation of roof module)
Special tools required:
IMPORTANT:
To prevent damaging the coupling lock gauge, set the coupling lock gauge down only in the transportation crate or on the cross member.
The coupling lock gauge is a highly sensitive measuring instrument which reacts even to light impacts with distortion.
The coupling lock gauge must be checked for dimensional accuracy on a master gauge after being subjected to impact or dropped.

NOTE:
The gauging of the coupling lock is required after each REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF THE ROOF MODULE .
Necessary preliminary tasks
- ROOF MODULE must be installed.
- Align BASIC GAUGE .
IMPORTANT:
Tape off corners of the roof shell 1 and 3. Risk of damage when positioning gauge for coupling lock and installation work.
Gauge, coupling lock
NOTE:
Coupling lock may not be screwed for adjustment work (barrel screws move freely).
Loosen screw for rubber stop (1) and move.
Insert special tool 54 0 130 in coupling lock.
Screw coupling lock gauge 54 0 131 left and 54 0 132 right to basic gauge with special tool 00 9 251 .
Tightening torque: 6 Nm
NOTE:
When aligning the coupling lock gauge 54 0 130
to the basic gauge 54 0 120
only the screws (1) from the delivery specification 2 360 046 may be used.
Turn L-piece (2) under stop screw (3) from the coupling lock.
Adjust coupling lock as follows:
Bring stop screw (3) with adjusting screw (1) fully to the limit position (4).
- Stop screw (3) from the coupling lock lies flush on the limit position (4)
- Ideally, the L-piece (2) lies on the gauge
Bring barrel screws into contact with special tool 54 0 180 in conjunction with special tool 00 9 450 .
Tightening torque: 0.2 Nm (=20 cNm)

Observe screwing sequence of coupling lock:
See INSTALLING ROOF MODULE .
- Z-direction (coupling lock to screwing plate, rollover protection system)
- Y-direction (coupling lock to side panel)
- X-direction (roof frame to partition wall)
Tightening torque: 54 37 22AZ .
