- Remove bumper trim (51 12 156 )
- Remove bumper carrier (51 12 050 )
- Remove and install guide for bumper, rear center (51 12 825 )
- Remove and install guide for bumper, rear left (51 12 801 )
- Remove and install guide for bumper, rear right (51 12 801 )
- Remove both rear lights (63 21 180 )
- Remove luggage compartment floor trim panel
- Upper tail panel trim (51 46 050 )
- Remove and install rear lid striker (51 24 130 )
- Remove left luggage compartment wheel arch panel (51 47 151 . 51 47 151 for Convertible.)
- Remove right luggage compartment wheel arch panel (51 47 161 )
- Remove and install battery (61 21 010 )
- Release wiring harness on tail panel and tie to one side
- Release rear lid seal
