51 45 030 Removing and installing instrument panel trim

NOTE: Observe the following instructions to facilitate removal of the instrument panel trim:

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release screw (1) on support tube (2).

Release screw (1) on support tube (2).

Release screws (1) in area of passenger footwell.

Release screw (1) in area of middle air duct (2).

Release screws (1) in area of driver's footwell.

Unlock OBD socket connector (1) and unclip in direction of arrow.

Release nut (2) in area of left air duct.

Disconnect plug connection (1) on passenger airbag switch (2).

Release nut (3) in area of right air duct.

Pull back trim for instrument panel (1) and remove.

Installation: 

Make sure guides (1) of instrument panel trim (2) are correctly seated in mountings.
