00 00 614 Service - Rear Brakes

Service - rear brakes
- Change brake pads. See 34 21 200 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BRAKE LININGS ON BOTH REAR DISC BRAKES (TEVES FLOATING CALIPER) , clean brake air ducts
- Brake discs. See 34 21 320 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING BOTH REAR BRAKE DISCS .
  - Check surfaces and thickness.
  - If necessary: Replace
- Handbrake. See 34 41 220 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ALL HANDBRAKE SHOES .
  - Check condition, brake lining thickness and function
  - If necessary: Replace
- Reset CBS display according to factory specification

NOTE:

Clean brake air ducts.
Replace brake disks if they drop below minimum thickness. See 34 21 REAR BRAKE DISCS E70 , and in event of scoring, heat cracks or thickness difference.
Apply a thin coat of grease to wheel centering on light alloy wheels, refer to Service Information Operating Fluids .
Issue a separate invoice for replacing the brake discs and handbrake shoes.
