52 13 015 Removing and installing/replacing actuating unit on left or right front seat

Move front seat into basic position.

IMPORTANT: A seat rail is spring-loaded. Risk of injury when unlocking.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

With optional seat heating: 

Unhook cable (1) from fixture (2) on actuating unit (3).

With optional seat heating: 

Unhook cable (1) from fixture (2) on actuating unit (3).

Release expansion rivet (1).

Detach adjusting device (2) from lever (3).

NOTE: Do not turn adjusting device (2).

Raise actuating handle (1) and release screw (2).

Release screws (3) and (4).

Tightening torque, see 52 10 7AZ in SEATS - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Remove actuating unit (5).
