51 16 240 Removing and installing rear storage compartment

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove Panel For Rear Storage Box .
Remove trim for rear speaker. See 65 12 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SPEAKER .

Release screws (1) on side trim (2).

Loosen screws (1).

Lever out cover caps (2) and release screws underneath.

3 Storage box

Lever out side trims (4) and pull out storage box (3).

Installation:

Lay emergency release cable (1) correctly in guide (2) of storage box (3).

Feed out emergency release cable (1) and remove storage box (3).

Installation:

Lay emergency release cable (1) correctly in guides (2) of storage box (3).

Installation:

Lay emergency release cable (2) correctly in bore (1) and panel (3) for luggage compartment partition.
