63 21 183 Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Or Right Rear Light (From 03/2005) (On Rear Lid)

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove rear center trim. Refer to 51 13 400 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR CENTER TRIM (FROM 03/2005) .

Detach trim (1) in area (A) of rear light (2) downwards. Area (B) of trim (1) remains on vehicle.

Installation:

Ensure trim (1) is correctly seated.

Disconnect connector (1).

Unscrew nuts (2).

NOTE: Secure rear light against falling out.

Unclip rear light (1) and remove.

Installation:

If necessary, replace faulty clip (2).

Make sure there is a uniform gap (outer) all round for rear lid.

Make sure sealing frame for rear light is correctly seated;

replace if necessary.

Replacement:

If necessary, remove bulb. Refer to 63 99 315 REPLACING BULB(S) FOR LEFT OR RIGHT REAR LIGHT (FROM 03/2005) .
