52 14 380 Removing And Installing/Replacing Head Restraint Mount On Left Or Right Front Seat

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove front seat. Refer to 52 14 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) .
Remove rear panel on front seat backrest. Refer to 52 14 198 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR PANEL ON LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT BACKREST (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) and 52 17 205 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BOTH REAR PANELS ON LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT BACKREST (COMFORT) .

Press catches (1).

Slide component (2) in direction of arrow and remove.

Unhook backrest cover at top.

Unhook cables (1) from component (2).

Detach retaining points (1) on backrest frame.

Feed out cables.

NOTE: Upper cable must be removed from idler pulley.

Installation:

Make sure cables are correctly laid.

Version - Head Restraint With AKS (Active Head Restraint):

Detach retaining points (1).

Remove AKS carrier with height adjustment element.

Detach retaining points (1) AKS carrier.

Feed out cables.

NOTE: Upper cable must be removed from idler pulley.

Installation:

Make sure cables are correctly laid.
