Necessary preliminary work

- Lower FRONT AXLE SUPPORT .
- Remove BOTH LOWER CONTROL ARMS FROM FRONT AXLE CARRIER .
- Remove BOTH TENSION STRUTS FROM FRONT AXLE CARRIER .
- Undo ANTI-ROLL BAR from front axle support.
- If necessary, release vacuum line for engine mount from front axle support.
Remove both engine mounts from front axle support . See 22 11 011 REPLACING LEFT ENGINE MOUNT (N63, S63) or 22 11 001 REPLACING RIGHT ENGINE MOUNT (N63, S63) .
Take front axle support down and set down on a suitable surface.
Installation note:
Use previous front axle support as a template for modifying or replacing small parts.
