66 54 010 Removing and installing complete night vision camera

Special Tools Required:

00 9 317

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection). Refer to 61 35 ... NOTES ON ESD PROTECTION STATIC DISCHARGE) .

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove front bumper trim. Refer to 51 11 156 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT BUMPER TRIM .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Disengage cable guide (2).

Gently lever out impact absorber (1) with special tool 00 9 317.

Unscrew nuts (2).

Installation:

Make sure impact absorber (1) is correctly seated.

Tightening torque, nut (4.5 N.m.), Torx bolt, (12 N.m.).

IMPORTANT: Secure night vision camera (3) against falling down.

Release screw (1) and disengage tube (2) from mounting.

Tightening torque, nut (4.5 N.m.), Torx bolt, (12 N.m.).

Remove night vision camera (3) complete with holder.

IMPORTANT: Secure night vision camera (1) against falling down.

Disconnect hose connection (2) and unclip cable fastener (3).

After Installation:

Fill up with washer fluid.

Replacement Only:

Replace night vision camera. Refer to 66 54 511 REPLACING NIGHT VISION CAMERA .
