63 25 000 Removing And Installing/Replacing Auxiliary Brake Light

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove panel for rear lid . Refer to 51 49 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING PANEL FOR REAR LID (Coupe) and/or 51 49 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING PANEL FOR REAR LID (Convertible)

Release nuts (1), gripping the threaded pin (2) with a suitable tool in so doing.

Remove springs (3).

Press auxiliary brake light at threaded pin (2) outwards and remove.

Disconnect plug connection.

Installation:

Make sure auxiliary brake light seal is correctly seated
Tighten nuts (1) from inside outwards
Observe tightening torque, see 63 25 1AZ in 63 25 STOP/BRAKE LIGHTS .
