54 34 100 Adjusting Soft Top

NOTE:
Soft top is taught in at the factory.
Adjustments not necessary after soft top has been removed or replaced.
If no body repair work is carried out, no adjustments to the retaining plates are required.
Check the following points for ideal adjustment of the soft top:
- Observe body gap dimensions . Refer to BODY GAP DIMENSIONS (Convertible) or 41 00... BODY GAP DIMENSIONS (Coupe).
- If necessary, adjust side windows . Refer to 51 32 154 ADJUSTING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR WINDOW GLASS and/or 51 37 154 ADJUSTING REAR LEFT OR RIGHT SIDE WINDOW .
- If necessary, adjust seals . Refer to 54 34 330 Removing And Installing/Replacing Front Cowl Panel Seal Rail , 54 34 331 Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Or Right Cowl Panel Seal Rail , 54 34 333 Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Or Right Middle Roof Frame Seal Rail and/or 54 34 348 Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Or Right Rear Roof Frame Seal Rail
- If necessary, glide base plates into place. Refer to 54 34 140 Removing And Installing/Replacing Base Plate On Left Or Right
- Adjust retaining plates only after body repair work. Refer to 54 34... Removing And Installing Left Retaining Plate (Soft Top Removed)
